nick. portraits.

So yeah, I'm taking photo classes again! Yes. It's pretty sweet. I've missed the dark room so much and also very much missed the unique scent of photographic chemicals. Slash that funky smell stays on your clothes, man. Slash it's been a few years since I'd been in the dark room, developing and printing photos, so I'd almost completely forgotten the process. I was probably kind of really annoying the first day, asking a million questions to anyone nearby, but I totally get the hang of it now once again. Anyway, this is the first assignment I completed just a few days ago for my black and white portraiture class. For this assignment, we were to do faceless portraits of someone who's no longer in our lives. So, I chose to photograph Nick, who technically is still in my life (forever!), but he is so not in my life right now because he left LA last month for Berkeley. So now he is not in my life and gets to be showcased in this assignment. Nick likes the bubbles.
